Your details and Aqua Eats

Aqua Eats is run by Think Consulting Pty Ltd. This page covers the report form ("Report incorrect information" and "Update your business details").

What we collect

• What you tell us in the report: the venue, the detail concerned, what's wrong, any suggested correction and any web address you add.
• Your name and email, only if you give them. They're optional, except when a business asks to update its own details, so we can confirm they're with the business.
• Whether you ticked "I represent this business". That's your own statement; we check it before relying on it, and it's never shown on the site.
• A scrambled code made from your internet address (a salted hash), used only to limit how many reports one connection can send. We never store the address itself.
• The date and time of the report.

Why

To check the report against the venue's own sources, to reply to you if you asked us to, to confirm a business owner's identity before treating their details as confirmed, and to stop spam.

Who sees it

Only the people who run Aqua Eats, in a private dashboard that needs a sign-in. Your details and the report text are never shown on the site, and a report never changes the site by itself.

Reports are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the site. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person is sending it.

How long we keep it

Until 12 months after the report is closed, then it's deleted.

Deleting your details

Ask us to delete your report or your details at any time: send a request through the report form (choose "Something else") and include the reference you were given, if you have it.

Elsewhere on the site

Aqua Eats doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you choose Day or Night in the header, that choice is saved in your own browser only.
